Fukyu Kata is a Kihon training for basic movements.
It focuses on 2 stances the Zen KutSu Dachi ( Forward Stance)
and the hangtsu Dachi.
Zen Kutsu Dachi while transitioning from one foot to the other be sure to use a crescent step (In towards the non-moving foot and out again) when moving to the foot going forward or backwards. Control the center of gravity, it should always be on the supporting foot, particularly when transitioning. Heels should be in-line with the shoulders. Forward knee should be lined up with tip of the big toe, and the back leg should be lock, not bent, with the foot at a 45degree angle from the heel.
Hangtsu Dachi, the feet should be at a 45 degree angle, no more, no less. As with the Zen Kutsu Dachi use a Crescent step. Feet should be shoulder width and the back foot should be in-line with the front heel, the torso engaged forward
Punches should be at your sternum
Blocks should cover the center of your body, never going past the shoulder
