Fundamental concepts of Okinawan Shorin-ryu

As with other forms of higher learning the study of Karate has it's ownn language. The medical world uses Latiin and Karate uses Japanese.  This Lesson will iintroduce you to basic Japanese, pronounciation and Japanese words that pertain to this level of training.   Future training will exapand upon this. 

Karate is made up a just a small number of stances.  In this lesson we will explore the basic foundational stances that comprise roughly 90% of all the kata.

Blocks are the hand movements of Karate and are fundamentally etermley important, as Karate opoperates from Defensive First paradigm.  In this lesson the student will learn the four basic movements that define over 90% of the hand movements in Karate. 

This course has focused on just the very tip of what is taught in Karate/

The foundational aspects that have covered has included:

• The language of Karate, Japanese.
• 3 Core Stances
• 4 Core hand movements

In this lesson we will put the stances together with the hand movments.  It is suggested that you spend as much time as you need to memorize the movements.
